Hiking

Start for a visit to the small power station in one of the surrounding villages. From Obfelden (bus station Bachstrasse) you can follow the Lindenbach to the Reuss river and after a quarter of an hour you will reach the side weir. A longer hike leads from Zwillikon through the romantic Jonen valley to the pilgrimage chapel Jonental and the Reuss near Jonen. Hiking trails lead left and right along the Reuss, mostly on the river dams directly to the small power station. There are several nature reserves on the Reuss plain, the largest around the Shallow Lake Zufikon. The 46 km long Ämtlerweg leads only a few kilometres past the power station. One stage of the Freiämterweg leads through the Jonental to the pilgrimage chapel.
