Target audience
The power plant offers a direct encounter with the technical past. Anyone interested in industrial archeology, or simply curious, can learn vividly how water power was used in the past to drive weaving machines and later on alternators and dynamos. The Power House with bevel gear wheels and transmission belts to the bevel shaft can be followed directly. In the overall view, the course of the water is traced from its intake from the river Reuss through the Head Race Channel and through the Francis Turbine into the tailrace channel until it returns to the river Reuss.
Everything moves within reach. But stop! Only the operating group may intervene, because it could also be dangerous. Our audience needs respect for the rotating gears and belts. As long as the plant is in operation, children without accompanying persons are not allowed to enter
